CROSS-EFFECT
The remarkable saga of Cross-Effect spans over a 17 year
period. As a trailblazing upstart as a talk show band during the cultural
upheaval of the late 1990s, Cross-Effect has remained true to its legacy of
freewheeling, risk-taking iconoclasm, transcending genre distinctions to
consistently showcase music of quality and distinction. Cross-Effect has an
ambitious goal. Their quest is to become “The Beatles of Jazz.” Having been together since January 1997, Cross-Effect has a
style that is uniquely their-own, neo-soul/jazz. The
ambitious goal and unique style that touches all formats of instrumental music, and
propels them
beyond the limits of a traditional jazz combo. Cross-Effect’s personnel has
performed with Rick James, George Duke, Angela Winbush, Candy Dulfer, Chuck Mangione, James Moody, Bobby Shew, Bob
Mintzer, Lew Tebackin, The Temptations and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
